In this LEVEL 1 class, students learn foundational acting techniques for both stage & on-camera. We begin with engaging improvisations to discover actions & tactics and quickly progress to Meisner's classic Repetition Exercise, followed by an in-depth exploration of Practical Aesthetics Script Analysis. Students work on short scenes from THEATER & FILM/TV to begin to put their craft into action.

Be ready to AUDITION with monologues,

cold-reads, and callbacks!

This LEVEL 2 class prepares the actor to audition with 2 contrasting monologues specifically tailored to each actor's strengths and personality. Actors also learn how to audition confidently with cold-reads by quickly analyzing the script to make bold choices and how to prepare for and take direction at callbacks to get the part!

This LEVEL 2 class challenges the actor to deepen and expand their craft while working on contemporary scenes from theater, film, and TV. Emphasis is placed on bringing the given circumstances to life through a thorough exploration of script analysis and using etudes & improvisations to discover the character's actions. Actors learn to trust their instincts to make clear, bold, and compelling choices in every moment.

This advanced level class is for experienced actors with a strong foundation in technique!

In this LEVEL 3 class, actors work to hone their techniques of script analysis and moment-to-moment work to develop a robust rehearsal process. Emphasis is placed on developing spontaneity, truthfulness, nuance, and specificity in actions and tactics through an in-depth exploration of contemporary scenes from theater, film, and television.

PREREQUISITE: Acting 201 or Audition

For experienced actors who are prepared and eager to seek representation!

In this LEVEL 4 class, serious actors work on 2 challenging scenes from Pulitzer Prize-winning plays and Oscar-nominated films. This one-of-a kind class provides actors an opportunity to showcase their work to local agents and industry professionals. The rigors of this class requires actors to be committed to rehearsal with their scene partners outside of class time. Class size is limited.

PREREQUISITE: Acting 301 or Audition

A 2-minute demo reel created just for you!

​

A 6-week workshop to create your new actor demo reel. Actors work for 4 weeks on four custom-written 20-30 second scenes showcasing their types and versatility. The last 2 classes are full days of filming on-location with a professional filmmaker. Actors receive a fully edited reel to add to their marketing tools and casting profiles.
